The DAP-2680 uses the 802.11ac Wave 2 standard to reliably deliver the highest transmission speeds with maximum data rates of up to 450 Mbps over the 2.4 GHz band and 1300 Mbps over the 5 GHz band. The DAP-2680 supports MU-MIMO technology, which enables multiple devices to receive a high-bandwidth WLAN signal simultaneously, distributing data more efficiently and providing you with the fastest possible WLAN in your office. In combination with the supported Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) Quality of Service (QoS) feature, this makes it the ideal access point for audio, video and voice applications. With QoS enabled, the DAP-2680 can automatically prioritise traffic based on the type of interactive streaming, such as HD movies or VoIP. The QoS function can be adjusted via the DAP-2680's web interface. Individual priority rules are selected in a drop-down menu. In addition, the DAP-2680 supports load balancing and ensures maximum performance by limiting the maximum number of users per access point. With the DAP-2680, network administrators can provide a highly controllable and extremely robust wireless network with simultaneous dual-band connections. The DAP-2680 delivers optimal network coverage in the 2.4 GHz band (802.11b, 802.11g and 802.11n) and 5 GHz band (802.11a, 802.11n and 802.11ac). The DAP-2680 can be ceiling- or wall-mounted or placed on a desk to meet any WLAN requirements. For more complex installations, the DAP-2680 has built-in 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing the device to be installed in areas where no power outlets are available.
